The Lloyd's Market Association (LMA) has announced the appointment of Allison Goddard as technical executive.

Goddard will be responsible for leading on business process reform initiatives on behalf of LMA members.

Simon Sperryn, chief executive officer at Lloyd's Market Association, said: "The top priority for the LMA is to ensure that the reforms sweeping through the London Market will take practical hold at the underwriter's box and in the back office. The challenge in this coming year is implementation.

Goddard's role will be to strengthen and co-ordinate the LMA's contribution to modernising processes in Lloyd's and the London Market.

Her primary responsibility is to maintain an overview of the initiatives and reforms taking place across the market and to advise the CEO and board on LMA policies and initiatives related to market reforms, processes and standards.

She will provide support for the Market Processes Committee and co-ordinates LMA's input and involvement in the London Market Principles programme.

Goddard has held positions in project management and underwriting support at Euler Trade Indemnity and Amlin.

Immediately before joining LMA, she worked for Lambourn Insurance Services as a Project Leader where she was responsible for reviewing and recommending best practices for business process reengineering, compliance issues and appraisals and upgrades of IT legacy systems.
