Risk managers can discuss the proposals to make company vehicle drivers safer at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident's (Rospa) national conference in May.

The Rospa Safety & Health at Work congress will be held in Birmingham from May 21 to 24 and will devote a day to managing risk on the road.

Other sessions will focus on establishing occupational health and safety as a key business objective, and new directions in occupational safety and health at work.

The government will publish a discussion document later this month on work-related road accidents, and three leading people involved in the document will be at the conference.

Work-related Road Safety Task Group chairman Richard Dykes, group secretary Les Philpott and Rospa occupational safety advisor Roger Bibbings, who is on the task group, will all take part in discussions.
