Two recruits to spearhead expansion in voluntary benefits market

Marsh has announced two appointments to its UK Affinity Practice in order to drive its voluntary employee benefits business.

Michelle Wimsey and Giles Davis will be responsible for client management and development in the Affinity team.

Ms Wimsey has been appointed as Assistant Vice President within the VEB team, part of the Affinity Practice, which provides a range of competitive insurance programmes, shopping discounts and travel schemes to clients as part of their employee benefits packages. Ms Wimsey will be responsible for the retention and growth of existing VEB clients.

Giles Davis joins the VEB team as an Assistant Vice President, with a specific focus on increasing Marsh’s market share of the voluntary benefits market. Davis has over 20 years experience in the corporate employee benefits market, of which nine were spent in the development and marketing of products to business-to-business clients.

Commenting on the new appointments, Jacqueline Shaw, Business Leader, Voluntary Employee Benefits, Affinity Practice at Marsh said: “Marsh has set out ambitious plans for growth of its Affinity practice in the UK. Michelle and Giles will play a key part in achieving these goals. We are also planning to recruit a number of personnel over the next 12 months to capitalise on the growing demand for affinity and voluntary employee benefits schemes among UK businesses.”
