Questgates to set up Scotland office

Appoint, join, new, hire, woman, appointment

Loss adjuster QuestGates has taken on a number of members from Merlin’s Scotland team in order to expand its presence in the country, including the establishment of a new regional office.

Merlin’s former Scotland regional manager Kevin Scott joins QuestGates to undertake a similar role.

He will be responsible for growing QuestGates’ business base in Scotland and will be supported by Graham Hay.

Hay was Merlin’s senior adjuster for major and complex loss and will focus on this area of business in Scotland. Both Kevin and Graham had been part of Merlin’s team for the past 10 years and between them bring 50 years’ experience of the insurance industry to QuestGates.

QuestGates managing director Chris Hall said: “We have had a presence in both Edinburgh and Glasgow for a while now, but the recruitment of Kevin and Graham will allow us to fulfil our ambition of having a fully-fledged Scottish regional office.

“They are highly experienced adjusters and will complement our existing expertise in handling commercial and high value domestic claims. I am delighted to welcome them both on board and am confident that they will play a pivotal role in helping us to further grow our business in Scotland.”

QuestGates has secured a number of Merlin’s clients and is in discussion with a number of its former team about employment opportunities.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
