Loss adjusting firm Miller Pycraft, formed earlier this year following the merger between Miller Loss Adjusters and Pycraft & Arnold, has launched a new dedicated liability division.

The division comprises a UK-wide network of eight operational centres that are staffed by specialist liability adjusters, claims handlers and support staff.

Richard Little who is director of Miller Pycraft's new liability division said: "The liability market is an important growth area – we recognise the different needs and expectation of our clients in this field and believe they will be best served by a single division with dedicated specialist technical skills."

Included in the new operation will be services ranging from traditional loss adjusting, desktop review and claims management, to risk management programmes, audits, recoveries and the handling of major multi-party claims.

Little said recent legislative changes had been an important issue in the creation of the new division. "The Woolf reforms are a catalyst for fundamental change in this sector," he said. "We are developing a market leading capability claims resolution service which is flexible, responsive and cost effective without compromising technical excellence."

The division's principal areas of expertise are personal injury, product liability and recall, employers' liability, contractors liability, professional indemnity and environmental incidents.
