Colin Batabyal to head up commercial and personal lines
Colin Batabyal has joined broking firm MMA insurance as underwriting director.
Batabyal will be based in the company’s Reading office and will be responsible for all of MMA’s underwriting in both commercial and personal lines classes.
MMA’s chief executive Garry Fearn said: “Colin is an excellent addition to the MMA team. A highly skilled and talented insurance professional, he has maintained a position at the forefront of underwriting in this country. His knowledge and underwriting insight will be of tremendous benefit to MMA.”
Batabyal was chief executive of motor insurer First Alternative from 2004 to 2007. He has also worked for esure, Churchill Insurance, Norman Insurance and Direct Line in 1994 as general manager of motor insurance.
