Mondial Assistance Group has activated its emergency plan in South East Asia, following this week's earthquake in the region.
The emergency plan includes:
- Bangkok and Singapore being placed put on alert;
- The organisation of possible tourist repatriation;
- The implementation of a call centre in Paris to respond to tourists' questions;
- The activation of a crisis unit in Paris headed by Mondial Assistance Group's medical director and the director of operations.
Mondial, which provides assistance, travel insurance and customer services, claims to have 250 million beneficiaries – 4% of the global population.
