‘Her promotion is well deserved and highlights her deep sector and technical expertise,’ says head of professional indemnity
Arch Insurance International has promoted Simone Lewis to the position of London market professional indemnity (PI) underwriting manager, effective immediately.

Lewis has responsibility for overseeing all underwriting activity across Arch’s London market PI portfolio, which provides cover for a range of traditional and non-traditional professions spanning UK and international risks.
Lewis, who brings more than 13 years of PI underwriting experience to the role, was most recently a senior PI underwriter at Arch.
Before joining Arch in 2023, she previously held underwriting positions at Axa XL and XL Catlin, where she spent almost five years and seven years, respectively.
Broker market reputation
In her new role, Lewis reports to David Longley, head of PI at the insurer.

Commenting on the promotion, Longley said Lewis’ appointment reflected both her technical capability and standing in the broker market.
“Lewis’ promotion is well deserved and highlights her deep sector and technical expertise, as well as her strong reputation amongst our broker partners,” Longley said.
“In her new role, she will play a key part in strengthening our relevance in the market and deepening our engagement with brokers.”
