Argenta grows energy liability team with new hire

Argenta has appointed Inga Brand as its new unit head for energy liability. 

Brand, who has 24 years of underwriting experience, will oversee the growth and direction of Argenta’s energy liability portfolio.

Among areas of focus include market expansion, stakeholder engagement and underwriting talent development.

She will be based in London and report to Heath Callan, divisional head of energy and marine.

Experience

Brand joins from White Bear Managers, where she played a role in developing its energy liability product.

She previously held senior roles at Liberty Specialty Markets, Aspen Insurance and Syndicate 1861, underwriting a range of energy, construction and marine liability risks.

Callan said: “Brand’s market knowledge and underwriting expertise make her a valuable addition to our energy liability team.
