Bichard, who currently leads PwC’s global insurance practice, will join Lloyd’s in April 2026 and become a member of the executive team, reporting directly to chief executive Patrick Tiernan.

Meanwhile, Prestige Underwriting promoted Katy Peacock to the newly created role of head of home, product and governance.

Peacock has been with the MGA since 2015 and brings more than 20 years’ experience in personal lines underwriting. In her new role, she will oversee the development and governance of Prestige’s home insurance portfolio, with a focus on non-standard products for brokers.

Elsewhere, the Lloyd’s Market Association appointed two new members to its executive board, naming Apollo chief commercial operations officer Vinay Mistry and Argenta chief executive Nick Moore.

Both appointments come as part of board succession planning, with Aegis London chief executive Alex Powell and Ascot Group non-executive director Andrew Brooks stepping down at the end of their terms.

Meanwhile, Argenta announced two senior hires, appointing Alexandra Hayes as head of group strategy and execution and chief of staff, alongside naming Sweta Tzimopoulos as chief distribution officer.

Hayes joined from Direct Line Group, where she served as chief of staff to the chief executive, while Tzimopoulos will join later this year from Ascot Underwriting.

Finally, broker Tysers appointed William Lines as a director within its property and casualty division.

Lines joined from Price Forbes, where he spent 15 years specialising in large and complex international commercial property risks, and brings extensive relationships across the Lloyd’s and company markets.
