’Her expertise and proactive leadership will drive the team forward,’ says managing director
Prestige Underwriting has promoted Katy Peacock to the newly created role of head of home, product and governance.

Peacock has been with the MGA since 2015 and brings more than 20 years of experience in personal lines underwriting.
In her new role, she will oversee the development and governance of the MGA’s home insurance portfolio, with a focus on delivering non-standard products for brokers.
She will work closely with Charlotte Baker and Emma Attfield within the home underwriting function. Baker recently moved from property underwriting team leader to underwriting manager, while Attfield has been promoted from schemes manager to product manager.
Alison Williams, managing director at Prestige Underwriting, said Peacock’s promotion recognised her long-standing contribution to the business.
She said: “Peacock’s promotion is richly deserved. She has been a key part of our underwriting team for many years and I am excited to see her progress the home underwriting team further.
“Her expertise and proactive leadership will drive the team forward, enhancing our support to brokers and delivering continued growth in the non-standard home insurance market.”
‘From strength to strength’
Peacock said her priority in the new role would be building on the MGA’s existing home portfolio and ensuring products and governance frameworks continue to meet broker and regulatory expectations. She said: “I’m excited to be taking on this role and I plan to take our home underwriting offering from strength to strength.

“My focus is on further developing our home insurance products and governance to support our broker partners and the wider market. I look forward to building on our success, strengthening our home underwriting portfolio and delivering even more value for brokers and customers.”
Before her promotion, Peacock served as technical underwriting manager at Prestige Underwriting, where she was responsible for managing the MGA’s home insurance products across all regions.
The role also saw her oversee underwriting processes and product governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and broker needs.
Her promotion follows the departure of Chris Duck, former head of property underwriting, who left the business in December 2025 to pursue other opportunities.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
