The group is now seeking ‘like-minded private medical insurance brokers’ that wish to ‘join forces’

Goldman Sachs-backed broker Aston Lark has agreed terms to acquire the clients of The Health Insurance Company.

The deal aims to strengthen Aston Lark Group’s health insurance expertise and represents further expansion of its employee benefits and healthcare insurance business.

The founder has advised on health insurance since 1998.

While Aston Lark is “delighted” to welcome the its latest purchase to the group’s employee benefits family, chief executive Peter Blanc added that Spector’s “ethos for customer service fits in perfectly” with his business.

Joining forces

Blanc continued: “We’re growing strongly in the private health insurance market and we continue to seek other like-minded private medical insurance brokers that want to join forces to be able to better service their clients going forward.”

Spector added: “This is an incredible milestone in the history of my company. We pride ourselves on offering our clients first class professional advice combined with great customer service.

“Aston Lark [has] the same ethos and professionalism as The Health Insurance Company and I am excited that clients will now be able to benefit from dealing with this superb company and [its] enhanced ability to offer clients some of the best propositions in the marketplace, whilst maintaining the personal service that we have placed so much emphasis on.

“Aston Lark is the perfect partner with the ideal pedigree for our business and we are confident that this next chapter in the life of The Health Insurance Company will be an excellent opportunity for the most important people in our business – our clients.”
