Axa deploys Microsoft 365 Copilot across global workforce

Axa has announced a global rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot to employees as part of its wider artificial intelligence (AI) workplace strategy.

The insurer said the deployment marks the next stage of its AI programme, following the launch of its internal Secure GPT platform three years ago, which provides employees with access to large language models.

Microsoft 365 Copilot will be integrated into applications including Teams, Outlook and Word, enabling employees to use AI to support routine tasks, improve collaboration and increase productivity.

Axa said the rollout forms part of its ambition to embed AI across the organisation while maintaining a focus on responsible use and human oversight.

Matthieu Caillat, group chief of technology and AI and chief executive of Axa group operations, said: “AI represents a significant opportunity to empower our employees, strengthen our innovation leadership and better serve our customers.

“Our ambition is to combine technological excellence with a responsible and human-centric approach, ensuring that AI creates lasting value for our people, our customers and society.”

Karima Silvent, deputy general secretary at Axa, said the rollout built on the successful deployment of Secure GPT and would be supported by an expanded AI training programme.

“Our ambition is not only to provide our people with access to the best AI capabilities, but also to empower every employee to confidently integrate AI into their daily work,” she added.

The insurer said it will continue investing in AI skills development to help employees use the technology responsibly as part of its wider digital transformation strategy.
