’By making best use of the Iknowa network and technology, we aim to deliver excellent support to the property owner at their time of need,’ says director
Bridgehaven Specialty UK and MGA International Warranty Group (IWG) have announced a strategic partnership to provide a new contingent insurance product covering faulty workmanship in heat pump installations.
In this partnership, IWG has been appointed to underwrite an insurance-backed guarantee (IBG) policy to Iknowa, the property and building services platform, for installations undertaken by Iknowa-trained engineers in the domestic renewable energy sector for an initial period of three years.
The new insurance product is intended to provide protection for customers who have a small-scale heat or power generating system installed at their home or commercial premises.
Last year, Bridgehaven also teamed up with Avid Insurance to offer property excess of loss insurance products designed for registered social housing providers.
’Fresh Approach’
Paul Dilley, chief underwriting at Bridgehaven said: “This new partnership between Bridgehaven and IWG demonstrates how we work together with our distribution partners to provide innovative insurance solutions.

“By making best use of the Iknowa network and technology, we aim to deliver excellent support to the property owner at their time of need.”
