’The broking profession is immensely important to private individuals and businesses and faces a great many challenges,’ says chief executive

Broadway Insurance Brokers founder and chief executive Daniel Lloyd-John has joined the Biba Advisory Group, a statement released yesterday (14 December 2023) revealed.

The move will see Lloyd-John, who had been the chairman of Biba’s Manchester regional committee, help shape national policy for insurance brokers.

He described his new appointment as a “privilege”.

“I’m immensely excited about the prospects of doing what I can to represent the views not only of Broadway but of so many small and medium-sized broking firms across the country,” Lloyd-John added.

“The broking profession is immensely important to private individuals and businesses and faces a great many challenges.”

‘Much to do’

Lloyd-John helped form Broadway in 2020, with the firm aiming to provide high net worth private clients and businesses with a concierge-style risk management service rather than simply focusing on policy renewals.

Such an approach has produced an increase in client numbers, with there also being a rise in the number of larger corporate and international companies turning over more than £250m, which Broadway now advises.

Lloyd-John plans to use his experience to help give brokers a larger voice in the industry.

“It is critical that the voices of those within the industry are clearly heard both by Biba’s leadership and the government and regulators with whom it acts on their behalf,” he said.

“Collectively, we have much to do and I can’t wait to get to work and advocate for brokers and the people and organisations who rely so heavily on us.”
