’Her appointment is thoroughly deserved and I look forward to seeing her continue to make a significant impact across the group,’ says chief executive

Broadway Insurance Partners has appointed Lauren Winstanley as its new group development director.

In her new role, Winstanley will be responsible for driving the growth of new direct and indirect business across the group, including the development of strategic ambassadorships and partnerships.

She takes on the position after joining Broadway Insurance Partners in 2022 as a client executive, with her advising high net worth (HNW) individuals and families across north England.

She then progressed into the firm’s corporate division, where she advised organisations with large and often complex domestic and international risk requirements.

Strengthening leadership

With 24 years of industry experience, Winstanley joined Broadway Insurance Partners from her role as private clients manager at Cheshire Insurane Brokers.

The promotion follows the recent appointment of Chris McEnaney as group finance director in December 2025 as a move to strengthen the senior leadership team as the business continues to scale nationally.

Commenting on the new appointment, Daniel Lloyd-John, chief executive at Broadway Insurance Partners, said: “I am delighted to congratulate Winstanley on her latest role within the firm.

”She is both commercially and technically strong and has spent the last four years growing an impressive network of professional connections including key centres of influence across the region.

”Winstanley is incredibly hardworking and demonstrates all the key characteristics associated with success in broking including emotional intelligence, empathy and a genuine team spirit. Her appointment is thoroughly deserved and I look forward to seeing her continue to make a significant impact across the group.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
