The next hearing will be on 7 January

CGI Insurance’s commercial director Dan Wilkinson has denied allegations against him that he “grabbed a woman’s bottom and crotch” over her clothes, as reported by Staffordshire Live.

Wilkinson now faces trial and has elected to have a jury.

The incident happened in November 2017 at a Hilton Bankside hotel in London at an event, it is alleged.

Independent broker CGI Insurance was acquired by Partners& in March 2020 as part of a series of acquisitions that formed the chartered broking group, which controls £65m worth of gross written premium.

Speaking about the recent hearing relating to Wilkinson, Phil Barton, chief executive at Partners& told Insurance Times: ”That the alleged incident took place three years ago, prior to the acquisition of CGI.

”We are at the beginning of a legal process, which we all need to respect and allow to run its course.”

CGI Insurance has also been contacted for comment.

The next hearing will be on 7 January 2021 at Lavender Hill Magistrates Court.
