’We’re delighted to be able to work with Ageas on enhancing our personal lines insurance business,’ says markets director

Brown and Brown has signed a new deal with Ageas Insurance as part of plans to bolster its presence in the personal lines market.

A statement released today (23 October 2023) said the deal will see Ageas become a partner insurer and panel member for the broker’s home, personal motor and van insurance products in the UK.

The deal will run until 2026.

Chris Sime, Brown and Brown Europe markets director, said the partnership would enhance its personal lines insurance business.

“We’re a growing business who, like Ageas, have our customers at the heart of everything we do,” he added.

”Like us, Ageas is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our customers and we’re delighted to be able to work with them on enhancing our personal lines insurance business.

“This new deal will enable us to share the focus Ageas place of brilliant service with our customers.”

Opportunity

This came after Global Risk Partners (GRP) completed its rebrand to Brown and Brown Europe earlier this year (12 September 2023).

GRP was acquired by Brown and Brown in July 2022 as it looked to establish itself as a major force in the UK retail insurance market.

Adam Beckett, chief distribution officer at Ageas UK, said that while the broker was best known for its commercial operations, it was recognising the opportunity in personal lines.

“Our history with Brown and Brown reaches back to GRP and commercial lines insurance but, like Ageas, they have recognised the opportunity offered by personal lines insurance,” he added.

”We are delighted to be working in partnership with them again, supporting Brown and Brown over the coming years.”
