’This appointment marks a pivotal step in accelerating our technology-first strategy across specialist and emerging lines,’ says deputy chief underwriting officer

Specialist insurance provider CFC has appointed Dan Keeler as head of digital underwriting.

In this newly created role, Keeler will spearhead the API partner strategy and oversee CFC’s proprietary one-question quoting portal, Connect.

Timothy Boyce, deputy chief underwriting officer, said: “Nearly 40% of CFC’s new business enquiries came through digital channels over the past year– a figure that has grown rapidly since we launched Connect.

“Keeler’s rare blend of underwriting and technology expertise makes him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to enhance our digital proposition and deliver greater value to our trading partners.

“This appointment marks a pivotal step in accelerating our technology-first strategy across specialist and emerging lines and reinforces our commitment to delivering seamless, data-driven access to quotes for insurance products.”

Experience

Keeler joins CFC from Ascot Group, where he served as portfolio delivery manager for nearly two years.

Previous roles include a three-year stint at Covea Insurance as its senior underwriter of commercial schemes and almost five years at Hiscox in various change and transformation roles.

Keeler said: “CFC is a company I have long admired and I feel privileged to be joining at such an exciting time.

”Our digital proposition has never stopped evolving and that is only going to accelerate as we introduce more products and innovative ways of trading. I’m delighted to be joining such a passionate and talented team as we push our digital trading capabilities even further.”
