’I believe the Armed Forces Community aligns with our Clear culture and values,’ says group chief operating officer

Clear Group has signed the UK Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) to demonstrate its support for serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families.

The covenant represents a pledge by businesses and organisations to ensure that those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families are treated fairly and with respect in the community, economy and workplace.

The business is home to several former military personnel including group chief executive Mike Edgeley, managing director Oscar Holloway and group chief operating officer Simon Smith.

The three senior leaders experienced the unique military ethos and commitment that was part of serving in the Armed Forces.

Alligned values

On Clear Group’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace, Smith said: “I served in the military before and after university and I continue to serve as a Military Reservist in my spare time.

”I believe the Armed Forces Community aligns with our Clear culture and values – supporting your village, town or country and helping others throughout the community is part of who we are at the Clear Group.

”This covenant demonstrates our external commitment to the AFC and reflects how we value people and their families, which in turn provides an important contribution to UK national defence.”
