Comedian Mark Watson has been revealed as the host for the Insurance Times Tech and Innovation Awards 2024.
The black tie awards ceremony, which this year is returning to the glam surroundings of the Royal Lancaster London on 19 September 2024, will see winners announced from the list of shortlisted firms across a range of competitive award categories.
Watson, one of the UK’s leading live comedians and a TV and radio regular, will take guests through the winners with his brand of intelligent observation, friendly banter and endearing frustration with the world.
The comedy heavyweight has also been nominated twice for the main Edinburgh Comedy award, winning the prize on the second time of asking. He is famous for his unconventional Edinburgh shows that take the form of a workshop session, a game show and even a lecture on the environment.
He has appeared on Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie to You, as well as performing on Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster and Bear Gryll’s Celebrity Island.
