Covéa Insurance has promoted Stephen Long to the role of chief operating officer (COO).

As COO, Long will lead the company’s claims, operations, IT and customer functions and keep his position on the executive committee.

“I’m delighted to be taking on the COO role,” he said.

”We’ve been on a remarkable journey in recent years and look forward with real optimism. We have a hugely talented team and we’ll continue to focus on being straight forward and easy to do business with, delivering consistently for our customers, brokers and partners and being a great place to work.

”We have a really bright and exciting future ahead and I look forward to playing my part as COO.”

Experience

Long is currently in his 25th year with Covéa, having joined the business in 2001 as a graduate trainee.

Over the course of his career, he has held a wide range of roles across the organisation and was most recently claims IT and operations director.
