’It is an exciting time for the personal lines team and Covéa more broadly, as the business continues to build on the trust it has with brokers,’ says insurer
Covéa Insurance has made two leadership appointments for its personal lines team.

Jamie McCann takes up the role of head of personal lines, while Jade Midgley has been promoted to head of trading for personal lines.
“It is an exciting time for the personal lines team and Covéa more broadly, as the business continues to build on the trust it has with brokers,” the insurer said.
McCann, who has 28 years’ experience in the insurance industry, will take responsibility for distribution and underwriting. Firms he has worked at in the past include Markerstudy Distribution and BGL Group.
After taking up his new role he said: “For me, a strong personal lines proposition is one that is genuinely customer‑led, technically strong and easy for brokers to do business with.
“Where we stand out is our absolute focus on brokers. We’re fully intermediary‑led, with no competing direct channel.”
Midgley
Meanwhile, Midgley has been with Covéa for over 23 years and was most recently the personal lines senior manager.

In her new role, she will focus on understanding the needs of brokers. She said: “Understanding where the market’s actually moving and what our customers actually need is massively important.
“We can then work out how we can help and technically bring it to life.
“I’m really proud of our strong broker relationships across the board. We have relationships across all of our teams and work hard to deliver where we can for our brokers.”
