‘Vans have long been the backbone of British industry, and our partnership with Covéa will help protect van drivers,’ says head
Covéa and The AA have announced the extension of their long-standing strategic partnership to offer a new van insurance product.
Covéa has previously worked with The AA to offer private car and standard home insurance products. It said the new offering demonstrates The AA’s “confidence in our underwriting expertise, service quality and commitment to delivering value to customers”.
The firm also said the combination of The AA’s “strong brand power and data capture abilities” and its own “award-winning service” would allow for “enhanced pricing and underwriting sophistication, resulting in better prices for our customers”.
Covéa is one of a limited panel of insurers The AA has selected to offer its new product.
Long-term strategy
Niall Mitchell, distribution manager for personal lines at Covéa, said: “The launch of van insurance with The AA demonstrates our continued commitment to the intermediated market and to work with a valued partner in The AA to deliver a high-quality insurance offering for our customers is a real win.

“Not only does this reinforce our aim to be the insurer of choice in the market, but it also underpins our long-term strategy of doing what really matters for our customers. Van insurance is a key pillar of our strategy.”
Paul Rountree, head of partnerships at The AA, added: “Vans have long been the backbone of British industry and our partnership with Covéa will help protect van drivers. This new product will give confidence to drivers, both now and in the future, as we work together to deliver policies that give van drivers peace of mind.”
