Atrium appoints new head of specialty reinsurance

Specialty insurer Atrium has appointed Chris Baker as head of specialty reinsurance.

In his new role, Baker will develop Atrium’s specialty reinsurance portfolio, in line with its five-year transformation strategy.

He will join Atrium in 2027 from Chaucer, once he has completed any contractual obligations.

Experience

Baker has spent most of his career at Chaucer, which he joined in 2004 as a marine and energy reinsurance underwriter.

He currently serves as head of global reinsurance, responsible for almost $2bn (£1.5bn) of premium.
