For Arsenal, the pressure is off this weekend, with the Gunners managing to clinch the title on Tuesday after Manchester City drew against Bournemouth earlier this week.

However, it is still very much game on for managers in the Insurance Times Fantasy Football league. Steve Fisher currently leads with 2,367 points, while Mike Seals-Law is close behind in second with 2,353 points.

And overall, there are only 47 points between the top 10, meaning decisions are going to be crucial for managers competing to win the Insurance Times Fantasy Football league this year.

Key statistics

For starters, choosing the right capatain will be key. According to the offical FPL website, Haaland would be the best choice as Manchester City take on Aston Villa.

FPL said that ”Haaland’s underlying numbers back up his prolific recent output and, combined with Villa’s poor defensive data, he makes the captaincy decision a very straightforward one, particularly if you’re protecting your lead at the top of your mini-league”.

In terms of the best picks for this weekend, FPL says that Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison (£6.4m) and Newcastle United’s William Osula (£5.5m) are further examples of in-form forwards who are facing weak defences.

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes could be a good pick, given he has blanked just once over the last 10 gameweeks, scoring twice and supplying 11 assists to total 76 points.

Meanwhile, Jarrod Bowen has two double figure hauls over his last three outings at the London Stadium and could be a good pick as West Ham take on Leeds this weekend.
