New appointee says he is ‘pleased’ with the move
Acrisure UK Broking has appointed Neil Galjaard as non executive director and chair of its UK MGA businesses.

Galjaard was previously the divisional managing director for Markel UK and held the role for nine years.
During his tenure, revenue grew by 200%. He also led the development of its five-year strategy – the core focus of which is to increase relevance with distribution partners and clients.
However, as Galjaard’s personal plans did not see him working in a full-time capacity throughout this period, he decided to step down in December 2025.

In February 2026, the business expanded its UK MGA network with the launch of 2Vision, a specialist underwriting business for the UK market.
It launched under Sutton Specialist Risks (SSR) and joined Acrisure’s MGA network alongside AUK MGA and Modus.
Galjaard said in a post on LinkedIn: ”I’m pleased to share that from 1 June, I’ve joined Acrisure UK Broking as non executive director for the Acrisure UK MGA businesses and will also take on the role of chair subject to regulatory approval.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
