[ADVENT-REVEAL-START]

1. What was your insurance industry highlight of 2025?

2025 has been a fantastic year and there has been some wonderful recognition for QBE across the industry for all the great work delivered by its teams. I have been really pleased to see QBE continue to generate value-added propositions for brokers, as well as develop long-term partnerships with customers.

Talent progression at QBE continues to be a significant focus in the UK and it has been great to see so many internal promotions throughout the year as the business continues to support its people.

Wearing a different hat, I was also really pleased to see the Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign reach its initial £10m fundraising target to help end the devastation caused by dementia. It continues to secure significant support from the industry, which makes me very proud.

2. What is your Christmas message for your insurance colleagues?

It has been a great year and thanks go to everyone for all the hard work, collaboration and laughter over the past 12 months.

The industry has seen, through the challenges of a changing market, how quickly pricing strategies can change and the impact this has on a stabilised market environment. It is important not to forget that the role of the insurance market is to help customers remain resilient in an ever-changing world and to be ready to adapt quickly to support them.

The focus must remain on putting customers at the heart of what the industry does as it kicks off 2026 and builds on the momentum already established.

3. What do you hope to find under the industry’s Christmas tree for 2026?

I would hope to find an insurance market that is more inventive and dynamic, while continuing to put the customer first, investing in developing the talented people within the industry and building a strong pipeline for tomorrow.
