This year, the trade association is aiming to launch its own membership news platform

Insurtech startup trade association Insurtech UK has confirmed its new associate members and partners for 2022.

Global management consulting firm McKinsey and Company, professional services company Deloitte and financial technology organisation SS&C Technologies have joined the trade body as principal partner, consulting partner and technology partner respectively.

Meanwhile, insurers MS Amlin and Wakam, as well as banking firm Paragon, have joined Insurtech UK as associate members.

These businesses all share Insurtech UK’s vision to make the UK a global leader for insurance innovation.

Insurtech UK believes its members will drive insurtech adoption and innovation, as well as broader innovation across the wider insurance market.

James York and Luisa Barile, co-chairs of Insurtech UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome these businesses to our growing community.

“We have strong ambitions to make the UK the global leader for insurance innovation and all of these businesses will play a key role in helping support our members and contribute their expertise towards achieving our mission.”

Currently, Insurtech UK has 115 members that are insurtech startups, plus more than 150 businesses in its wider community.

’Cutting edge’ of insurance

Insurtech UK has some ambitious plans for 2022, including the launch of its own membership news platform and international projects to support the UK insurtech community.

Its new associate members and partners, therefore, will be vital in providing strategic advice to the association, supporting members in business journeys and helping promote the reputation of the UK insurtech sector.

Katie Wolff, MS Amlin’s head of digital trading, said: “MS AISE (UK) is excited to be joining Insurtech UK, which is at the cutting edge of insurance.

“We look forward to working in collaboration with like-minded members of the Insurtech UK community to help support and co-create where possible, by providing relevant and valuable products that are reflective [of] ever-changing client needs.”

Wakam’s Serge Corel, country manager UK and Ireland, added: “We are thrilled to join the Insurtech UK community and strengthen our relations with the innovative UK ecosystem.

“Wakam’s ambition is to support British startups and insurtechs in their development by providing them with innovative and bespoke insurance solutions. We are always very excited to forge real and strong partnerships with those [that] want to lead change.”
