JMG Group expands in Midlands with trio of acquisitions

JMG Group has expanded its presence across the Midlands with a trio of acquisitions.

The acquired firms include Jukes Insurance Brokers, RP Lovatt and Nene Valley Insurance Practice.

JMG Group said the deals build on its ongoing investment in the Midlands following the acquisition of Boston Insurance Brokers in September 2025.

Regional managing director Alan Percival, who joined JMG Group at the start of 2026, said: “The Midlands continues to be a key focus for us. Bringing quality businesses like Boston Insurance Brokers into the group last September, alongside these latest partnerships, shows the depth of opportunity in the region.

Acquired firms

Founded by Ivor Jukes in 1963, Jukes Insurance Brokers was taken over by Ivor’s brother-in-law Kenneth Godsall in 1982, with his son Richard joining the business the following year.

His son James now runs the business alongside operations director Arran Williams.

James said: “Culturally, JMG Group feels exactly the right home for us with the right sort of people who are all on the same page.

“It’s an exciting chance to continue developing our business, bringing in additional markets and strengths as part of something bigger.”

Meanwhile, RP Lovatt serves a mixture of commercial and personal clients. Established in 1960 by Ron Lovatt, Lovatt’s son Michael joined the business in 1963, with his grandson Marc coming on board in 2004.

Marc said: “We’ve got a superb team with a combined 70 years of industry experience.

“We’re tried and tested and ready for our next chapter. So far, my dealings with JMG Group have been excellent, the team has been kind, thoughtful and professional while sharing our ambition to grow. I’m looking forward to working together to make the most of this fantastic opportunity.”

Finally, Nene Valley Insurance Practice has joined JMG Group business BQI Insurance. The firm, which was founded in 2018 by Paul Graham, specialises in fleet and trades.

Graham said: “I realised the business would benefit from a partner that could help it continue to grow the way I envisioned.

”After speaking to a former colleague who had gone through the acquisition process with JMG Group, and subsequent conversations with the JMG Group team, I knew I’d found that partner.”
