JMG Group has appointed Andrew Cunis as chief executive for the south and private clients.

In his new role, Cunis will focus on building on the firm’s existing capabilities, supporting acquired firms and driving further organic growth across the regions.
He will work closely with Simon Townsend, JMG Group’s regional managing director for the south, and Alan Percival, regional managing director for Midlands and south west.
Alongside this, he will support the continued growth of JMG Group’s private client proposition.
Cunis said: ”JMG Group has delivered significant organic growth in recent years, which has been hugely exciting to see even from the sidelines. I’m so pleased to have the chance to be part of the next stage of their journey.
“I’m looking forward to working with the regional managing directors across the south and the Midlands, as well as the private client team, and helping with their growth journey. And I’m also looking forward to reconnecting with insurers.”
Experience
Cunis has more than 22 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having built and led a private client division at Gallagher, delivering consistent year-on-year growth.

He has also led a leadership development programme supporting 80 people across four cohorts, focused on talent development and business performance.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
