’We chose Optalitix because they gave us exactly what we needed, in the timeframe we needed it,’ says head

Lloyd’s coverholder and specialist underwriting agency Solertia Insurance has selected Optalitix to deliver a new underwriting workbench as it looks to modernise operations and support future growth.

The MGA, which specialises in transaction tax risk insurance, will implement Optalitix’s cloud-based underwriting platform to replace its existing system.

The new platform is scheduled to go live in September 2026 and will bring underwriting workflows, reporting and day-to-day operational activities together within a single system.

Solertia said it selected Optalitix following a review of multiple underwriting workbench providers, citing the platform’s functionality, implementation speed and collaborative approach.

Ellie Sanders, head of operations at Solertia, said: “We chose Optalitix because they gave us exactly what we needed, in the timeframe we needed it.

“What stood out throughout the process was how easy they were to work with; honest, realistic and quick to resolve anything that came up.”

’Operational visibility’

Optalitix provides configurable underwriting and pricing technology for insurers, brokers and MGAs seeking to replace manual or legacy underwriting processes.

According to Solertia, the new underwriting workbench will provide a more integrated view of underwriting activity while helping reduce manual administration and improve operational visibility.

Jack Wells, enterprise account executive at Optalitix, said: “From our first conversations, it was clear the team had a strong vision for the future of the business and a real focus on investing in the right technology to support that growth.”
