’We’ve developed a specialist proposition that reflects the unique blend of exposures found within golf clubs, while providing brokers with access to tailored cover backed by strong capacity partners,’ says managing director
NBS Underwriting has launched a specialist golf club insurance product.

Building on the MGA’s experience in the sports and leisure sector, the customisable package policy accommodates a wide range of risks including clubhouses, restaurants, bars and pro shops.
The proposition provides material damage cover with limits of up to £15m, public liability cover up to £5m – with an option to increase to £10m through an excess layer arrangement – and employers’ liability cover up to £10m.
NBS Underwriting said that the proposition was developed to reflect the ”unique blend of sporting, hospitality and retail exposures found within modern golf clubs”.
‘Natural extension’
Steve Cowman, managing director at NBS Underwriting, said: “Launching a dedicated golf club product was a natural extension of our existing offering.

“We already have significant experience across sports and social clubs, hospitality and retail risks, all of which are key components of a modern golf club.
”By bringing that expertise together, we’ve developed a specialist proposition that reflects the unique blend of exposures found within golf clubs, while providing brokers with access to tailored cover backed by strong capacity partners. As a keen golfer, it’s particularly rewarding to bring this product to market and offer brokers a specialist solution for this sector.”
