’Having worked intensively on our integration and change strategy over the past two years, I embrace this opportunity,’ says appointee

Markerstudy has appointed Laura Walker as its new group chief operating officer.

Walker will report directly to group chief executive Kevin Spencer and will oversee key functions across the business, helping to strengthen the group’s operating model and support future growth.

She joined Markerstudy following its acquisition of Atlanta Group in July 2024, where she served as strategic change director.

Walker said: “Having worked intensively on our integration and change strategy over the past two years, I embrace this opportunity.

”My focus will be on supporting coherence across the group, championing on-going development in our governance framework and driving our customer purpose of trust, peace of mind and accessibility.”

‘Champion of change’

Prior to joining Markerstudy, Walker held senior leadership roles at Danaher Corporation and General Electric, building extensive experience across operational transformation, organisational change and growth initiatives within both private equity-backed businesses and global FTSE 100 organisations.

The group said Walker’s experience in large-scale transformation programmes and business performance management would be central to delivering its strategic objectives.

Spencer said: “I am delighted to welcome Walker into this new role. She is an experienced and highly effective leader, with proven ability in developing large-scale, multidisciplinary teams and delivering strategic outcomes.

“Walker is a champion of change, consistently driving a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and agility. I have every confidence that she will excel in this role.”
