’He brings with him extensive underwriting experience, complemented by his years spent in broking,’ says chairman

Specialty MGA has appointed Nick Conway as a senior underwriter for medical malpractice.

Based in the London office, Conway will evaluate and manage risk for policies across the global medical portfolio, including hospitals and clinics, medical practitioners, non-surgical and allied health.

He brings over 25 years experience working in underwriting, with complementary experience in broking. Firms he has worked for include Marsh, Themis Group and most recently BMS Global Healthcare.

Manoj Kumar, chairman at MNK Group, which owns Specialty MGA, said: “He brings with him extensive underwriting experience, complemented by his years spent in broking, meaning he has a significant network to draw upon in providing innovative and tailored solutions for our clients.

”The healthcare insurance market is developing, with portfolio opportunities for private hospitals and clinics written in the open market, and bringing Conway onboard means the business is well placed to grow in this area.”

Conway added: “I am excited to have joined Specialty MGA at this ambitious time for the business where there are significant opportunities to expand, leveraging the global expertise of MNK Group.

“The international network and level of knowledge at Specialty MGA makes it well-placed for rapid growth, in not only healthcare but all business lines across its international portfolio, providing additional capacity to global markets.”
