’I’m excited to take on this position and build on the strong foundations we’ve created with our partners,’ says appointee
Prestige Underwriting has promoted Tim Baxter to the role of business development and relationship director.
In his new role, Baxter will lead the broker engagement and distribution strategy across the UK and Ireland.
He will aim to deepen partnerships, enhance the broker experience and support sustainable, profitable growth.
Baxter said: “I’m excited to take on this position and build on the strong foundations we’ve created with our partners.
”My focus is to expand and develop our collaborative relationships with brokers, enhance the broker experience and broaden both the distribution and geographical reach of Prestige Underwriting products.
”Working closely with our underwriting and operational teams, we’ll make it even easier for brokers to place complex and non-standard risks confidently.”
Experience
Baxter joined Prestige Underwriting in 2014 and brings more than 25 years’ insurance experience spanning placement, claims and distribution.

”With FCA approval now confirmed, I’m delighted to congratulate Baxter on his appointment. He will be instrumental in advancing our growth strategy and delivering even more value for our broker community across GB, NI and the Republic of Ireland.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
