MS Amlin chief executive joins LMA board

The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed Christiern Dart, chief executive at MS Amlin, to its board.

The LMA said Dart’s appointment will strengthen the board’s mix of senior market expertise and provide additional leadership experience from across the international insurance sector.

The association’s board is responsible for setting the overall strategy, direction and priorities of the LMA, with membership drawn from senior market practitioners and association leaders.

Dart joins the board while continuing in his role as chief executive at MS Amlin, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience spanning the global (re)insurance market.

Sheila Cameron, chief executive at the LMA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dart to the board. With more than three decades of leadership experience across the international (re)insurance market, he brings deep insight from across the Lloyd’s market and a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing managing agents.

Departure

The move follows Clare Constable, chief claims officer at MS Amlin, stepping down from the board after serving as the company’s representative within the association.

“I would like to thank Constable for her contribution to the LMA during her time on the board,” Cameron said.
