’We are bringing the City of London and its world class and unparalleled capabilities to our partner clients,’ says principal officer

Neema Insurance has revealed that it will open a new office in London.

The specialist underwriting agency, which is based in Africa, said the space would be available from 12 February 2024.

It forms part of the firm’s expansion plans – Neema said the new base formed a ”key milestone in the company’s progress”.

Principal officer Sharon Ng said: ‘’We are bringing the City of London and its world class and unparalleled capabilities to our partner clients.

“London stands as the (re)insurance epicentre with the highest concentration of insurers and reinsurers worldwide, encompassing Lloyd’s syndicates, protection and indemnity (P&I) clubs, insurance and reinsurance brokers, general insurance and life assurance companies.”

Strategy

Ng explained that Neema’s strategy involved adopting a “different” mindset and to achieve “quantum leaps”.

It hopes that its plans will see the firm achieve a premium income of around $500m (£396m) annually.

“Neema believes in a unique partnership model that aims to deliver profits for all,” Ng said.

“We thank all our partners, including our clients, our capacity providers and our team for their immense contribution and for their unconditional support of our vision and strategy.”
