’Having the right people on board is critical to delivering our ambitious plans,’ says chief executive
Rising Edge has made three strategic appointments as the underwriting specialist steps up its expansion across London and Europe.

Chris Smerald has joined as chief actuary, bringing experience in actuarial science and data analytics across the insurance sector. His expertise spans reserving, pricing, claims and delegated authority, with a focus on applying advanced technology to complex challenges.
Jessica Stephenson, meanwhile, has been appointed general manager. She brings experience across the MGA market and wider global insurance sector and will support Rising Edge’s expansion and operational development.
Finally, Tatiana Davanzo has been named tax insurance underwriter. She will lead the development of Rising Edge’s tax liability insurance offering, adding a complementary product to its transactional risk and warranty and indemnity business.
Expanding products and technology
The appointments will support Rising Edge as it scales its underwriting platform, expands into new insurance lines and develops its technology and data capabilities.
