Seventeen Group has made a double swoop to acquire Keith Miller Services and the book of business relating to Hendricks Insurance.

The insurance and risk management firm said it was making the move as part of plans to expand its specialist areas of focus and build its regional presence.

The deals will see the two firms rebrand to James Hallam – Seventeen Group’s broking subsidiary.

Seventeen Group chief executive Paul Anscombe said: “I am delighted to announce these two important acquisitions for the group.

The deals

St Andrews-based Hendricks controls a gross written premium (GWP) of £2.5m through its book of business, which comprises a mix of rural, commercial and private client business.

As part of the transaction, Hendricks owner Ritchie Sherret will be joining Seventeen Group along with his team of four staff.

It will form part of James Hallam’s Scottish regional division, led by regional director Neil Campbell.

Meanwhile, Keith Miller is a business controlling £2.5m GWP and has a hotel book that will compliment James Hallam’s hospitality and travel team.

The Keith Miller team will also join the group’s West Sussex office.
