Deal brings together two regional brokers as firms prioritise continuity and long-term client relationships
South Wales Insurance Brokers has completed a strategic buy-in to Fisher Insure in a move aimed at strengthening the two firms’ regional presence.

The partnership brings together two South Wales-based brokers and reflects ongoing consolidation activity across the regional broking market, where smaller firms are increasingly seeking succession and growth opportunities without disrupting existing client relationships.
Under the agreement, Fisher Insure founder Carl Fisher will continue supporting clients alongside South Wales Insurance Brokers founder Chris Harvey, with both businesses retaining their current trading names for the foreseeable future.
The firms said the focus would remain on continuity, with changes introduced gradually to ensure clients continue receiving the same level of personal service.
Fisher said: “I’ve been considering how best to support my clients over the long-term. This partnership allows me to continue doing what I enjoy, while ensuring clients remain well looked after.
“It’s not about immediate change, it’s about consistency, reassurance and continuity.”
Relationship led growth
Harvey said the deal represented a natural opportunity to expand the businesses’ footprint across South Wales.

He said: “This felt right because of the people, the clients and the shared vision for growing in the right way.
“Bringing the two businesses together strengthens their presence across South Wales, enabling wider coverage while preserving the personal, local service both are known for.”
The two firms state that the transition would progress at a measured pace, with Fisher’s clients introduced to Harvey gradually over time.
Fisher said protecting client relationships remained his main priority and added that working alongside Harvey gave him confidence clients would continue to receive the support they expected “both now and in the future.”
