‘With North Wales playing a central role in our growth strategy, I look forward to the opportunities ahead for our expanding team,’ says managing director
Insurance broker Howden has officially launched its new regional commercial operation in North Wales, following the appointment of Nathan Brookefield as its inaugural account executive.

Brookefield – who joins the firm from Lothbury UK – will be tasked with developing new business and advising commercial clients on Howden’s insurance programmes.
The new operation is headquartered in Wrexham, falling under the oversight of Gary Stevens, Howden’s regional managing director for commercial insurance in Wales.
Howden said that the launch marked an important milestone in the growth of its commercial team and reinforced its “continued investment in Wales and commitment to supporting regional business growth”.
Commercial presence
Stevens said: “Expanding our commercial presence in North Wales is a key priority for Howden and Brookefield’s appointment is an important step in delivering that ambition.

“I am especially proud of the progress we’ve made in strengthening our presence across Wales. With North Wales playing a central role in our growth strategy, I look forward to the opportunities ahead for our expanding team.”
The new appointee added: “The company’s strong market reputation, its employee ownership model and UK roots were all key factors in my decision to join the team. The opportunity to be part of a business that is actively investing and building its presence in Wrexham and North Wales was particularly appealing.
“Having grown up in Wrexham, it’s also important to me that I play a part in supporting local businesses and help drive the continued growth of the local economy.”
