’I’m excited to join at this moment and help accelerate the next phase of growth,’ says appointee
Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has appointed Sasa Brcerevic to the newly created role of group chief commercial officer.
Brcerevic will take up his new role on 1 November 2025. His experience spans start-ups and multinational corporations and ranges from technology companies to carriers and broking.
He is moving to the firm from Aon, where he was most recently managing director for the carrier solutions group.
Before this, he spent four years at Hiscox, holding roles such as US head of field.
Speaking about taking up his new role, Brcerevic said: “SRG’s rise as an international specialist intermediary has been genuinely impressive, rooted in deep expertise, a strong culture and a relentless focus on clients.
”I’m excited to join at this moment and help accelerate the next phase of growth. My priority will be to bring together our specialist teams to create a cohesive commercial engine that enhances the value we deliver to clients and carrier partners.
”Over the coming months I’ll be spending time with colleagues and clients across the business to listen, learn and identify where we can simplify, scale and innovate. SRG’s emphasis on specialism and empowerment is exactly the environment where commercial excellence can thrive.”

SRG said the latest move reflected ”continued investment in a scalable leadership team capable of building an international specialist, people and culture focused business of scale and relevance”.
Warren Downey, group chief executive at SRG, said: “The addition of Brcerevic to our leadership team significantly broadens and deepens our capability.
“The chief commercial officer role is pivotal as we continue to scale and his blend of technology, broking, carrier and consulting experience gives us exactly the edge we want – sharper insight, faster execution and a stronger operating rhythm across geographies and product lines.
”He will help us unlock new channels, enhance our data and analytics-led approach and support our people to deliver consistently excellent outcomes for clients and partners. It’s a hire that speaks to our ambition and the momentum we’re building.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
