’We’re proud to become part of a group that truly understands the value of specialism and is committed to supporting businesses like ours,’ says founder

Health Partners Europe (HPE), a business that works with the Premier League, and its subsidiary Sempris have been acquired by Specialist Risk Group (SRG).

Founded in 1993, HPE provides specialist healthcare schemes, insurance and technology propositions to sports clients.

It has worked continuously with the Premier League since 1994 and has maintained its position as appointed healthcare advisors to the league for over 30 years.

HPE also supports the vast majority of the 92 professional clubs in the Premier League and English Football League, in addition to the Women’s Super League, Men’s and Women’s national squads and elite academies.

In 2010, HPE founded Sempris to provide the specialist professional indemnity insurance products necessary for the protection of medical treatment providers involved in the care of elite and professional athletes.

Lee Anderson, group deputy chief executive at SRG, said: “I deeply admire the HPE and Sempris. They operate in a truly specialist area and have carved out a unique and vital role within the elite sports ecosystem.

”Their approach is strategic, thoughtful and deeply specialist, providing an extraordinary level of care and access for those performing at the highest level. We are incredibly proud to welcome the team to SRG and are excited to support the next stage of their growth.”

‘Next step’

As part of SRG, HPE will continue to accelerate its investment in technology and service delivery.

Richard Blain, founder and chief executive at HPE and Sempris, said: “Joining SRG is an exciting next step for HPE and Sempris.

”We’re proud to become part of a group that truly understands the value of specialism and is committed to supporting businesses like ours.
