Aviva’s Jason Storah has said it is “special” for the insurer to win the General Insurer of the Year award at this year’s Insurance Times Awards.

Storah picked up the award on behalf of Aviva at the event in the iconic Grosvenor Hotel in London earlier this month (6 December 2023). 

It was not the only award Aviva won on the night, with it also receiving recognition in various categories throughout the evening. 

This included Excellence in Underwriting, Excellence in Fraud Mitigation – Insurer and Excellence in Risk Management, with the latter sponsored by Strategic Risk.

After picking up the General Insurer of the Year award, Storah told junior reporter Chantal Kapani: “It is fantastic to win this award.

”All the awards are fantastic and all the nominees are amazing, but this is one that is a little bit more special for us, so it is nice to win it.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
