Loss adjuster Mathieson-Ingham has recruited Colin Watkins from Norwich Union to manage its new office in Southampton.

Watkins' team of three adjusters will focus on liability and casualty claims, primarily employers' liability, product liability, professional indemnity and road traffic accidents.

Mathieson-Ingham chairman Trevor Ingham commented: “Colin's experience and expertise serves to enhance our highly experienced UK team. His engagement is consistent with our long-term business model to provide high levels of technical support and adjusting expertise aligned to the individual and specific requirements of our insurer, broker, self-insured and corporate clients."

Watkins commented: "Mathieson-Ingham's business plan is based on providing market leading levels of service on a nationwide basis. From what I have seen, it is clear that the increasing volume of business being received is indicative that there is a need for this type of product. I was attracted by the enthusiasm shown by the Mathieson-Ingham board and senior team, and I am looking forward to delivering tailored services to meet the individual needs of our clients."
