Royal London and Norwich Union have confirmed their agreement that Royal London's general insurance book will be transferred to Norwich Union.
Negotiations between the two companies started earlier this year, and were concluded last week when Royal London's Stephen Stone, and Ken Wallace of Norwich Union signed a contract in Norwich.
The move will see Norwich Union take responsibility for the general insurance of Royal London which will continue to market to its 1.2m general insurance customers.
