A new online insurance provider specialising in insurance for motor vehicles that are at least five years old has been launched.
The company, yesinsurance.co.uk, part of the Provident Financial group of companies, will also offer household and van insurance and will be expanding over the coming year into other areas of insurance.
yesinsurance.co.uk head of marketing, Paul Purdy, said: “We expect that more than 90% of our customers will be coming to us via the internet, with the remainder dealing with us by telephone.
“This is a relatively high online response rate for an insurer, but there is a big shift taking place in the insurance arena and the yesinsurance.co.uk business plan is geared towards making the company very heavily net-focused."
