Defaqto database links providers' product comparison data
Analyst Defaqto has launched an online product database for brokers to compare products.
Aequos Online lets brokers contact the providers of preferred policies.
The data specialist claims to distinguish the portal from its competitors, by linking into a live feed from insurers' databases.
Defaqto claims the product will prove popular with brokers because users can purchase data at a product-specific level.
It said the front-end of the database can also be personalised to enable brokers to work with data regularly.
Defaqto group commercial director Mark Hayes-Newington said: "It has required a very significant investment in technology to develop Aequos Online .
"It is the company's single most important product advance since the launch of Aequos itself."
Hayes-Newington claimed the launch of the database was the culmination of several months of internal reorganisation.
Hayes-Newington added: "The company has also reorganised its internal support facilities to improve its customer services and ensure Aequos Online customers receive the highest quality service."
