Ian Story has joined Oval

Oval has appointed Ian Story as finance director.

Story was previously chief financial officer of Bluefin Group, and resigned in December last year.

Oval executive director of operations Jeff Herdman said: “It is with great pleasure that I announce the arrival of a permanent finance director, Ian Story. 

“He has an extensive CV, and more recently he was finance director at Smart and Cook Insurance Brokers (now Bluefin) and AXA.”

 

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
